Just flipping through "Superior Foes of SpiderMan"...

My pal Gavin V. Murray (cinematographer-for-hire and comics enthusiast) generously lent me his copy of The Superior Foes of Spiderman and I've just gotten through with it. The book is great- just a really intriguing little caper story featuring some compelling characters. I hope Marvel keeps a Sinsister Six movie on the table and uses this as a thematic jump-off point. I think it could fit really well in the MCU, especially in the wake of Civil War. 

Lieber illustrates it beautifully as well. I love all of the little visual queues and devices he uses throughout the book:

This page is beautifully structured. 

Lieber keeps the eye-line simple, linear, and extremely well articulated. A nice, action packed zig-zag sells the shit out of the action on this splash page.

He also uses a classic archetypical structure to the page that tells a story we all know at a glance.

Awesome book. Looking forward to picking up the follow-up.
